The majority of my work reflects the places I have traveled to. I spent many months living in Rome, Italy in both the fall of 2008 and summer/fall 2011. My aim is to capture light and shadow cast upon the decaying and beautiful scenerey. I use antique book covers as canvass. I began collecting them because of their texture, color, and history and am inspired by both the material I use and the subject matter painted on their surface.I studied painting and art history at Salve Regina Universiy in Newport Rhode Island. I graduated in the spring of 2010 and hold a BA in studio art and minor in art history.
